Accidents happen. They happen more often to people who go against the rich and powerful. Mike Lynch, sometimes referred to a “Britain’s Bill Gates” was a tech pioneer who got his PhD in mathematical computing from Cambridge. Early on, Lynch focused on using Bayesian logic to help computers recognize patterns to mine useful data from phone calls, emails, and for fingerprint recognition. The kinds of things the deep state loves, which become even more useful as AI develops. Lynch co-founded the British tech firm Autonomy in 1996, which he eventually sold to HP for $11B.
Steven Chamberlain “- Lynch’s co-defendant in the US Autonomy-Hewlett-Packard fraud trial was struck and killed by a car while out for a run near his home in England on Saturday.” It’s pretty rare for runners to be fatally hit by a car, but it happens. It happens more often when certain agencies get involved. “An unexpected violent storm, which some EU media outlets described as a ‘tornado,’ sank the British-flagged superyacht “Bayesian” early Monday morning off the coast of Sicily. Local authorities confirmed one dead, and six people are missing, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer.” (https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/days-apart-british-tech-titan-missing-after-yacht-hit-tornado-co-defendant-killed-car-crash)
“Chamberlain faced similar fraud and conspiracy charges as his former boss, Lynch, for allegedly conspiring to inflate their company Autonomy before it was sold to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion in 2011. On June 6, a federal court jury in San Francisco found Lynch and Chamberlain not guilty following an 11-week criminal trial. According to the Pew Research Center analysis, only 0.4% of federal criminal cases in 2022 ended in acquittal.” That means Chamberlain and Lynch were either really innocent, really lucky, or had really good lawyers and made Hewlett-Packard really pissed off.
“But in late 2012, HP stunned Wall Street and the City of London by alleging a massive accounting scandal at the business, and writing off $8.8 billion of its value. After a 12 year legal battle, Lynch was acquitted of criminal charges by a jury in San Francisco in June [2024]. The billionaire was celebrating the verdict on his luxury superyacht off the coast of Sicily when it sank due to bad weather. News of his disappearance came hours after Stephen Chamberlain, the former VP of finance at Autonomy, died after being hit by a car. Chamberlain, 52, was hit by a car while out running on Saturday.
Social media platform X has been flooded with conspiracy theories.
“Can’t be a coincidence”
“Sorry but this is just too weird. It can’t possibly be a coincidence that BOTH Mike Lynch and Stephen Chamberlain were killed in freak accidents…. So the minute he gets a Not Guilty verdict, and starts talking about US control over UK government and UK legal processes, Mike Lynch suddenly goes missing.”
Aside from the facts that (1) they were on a large and well made sturdy boat at anchor with sails down – which should have been able to survive a storm (2) Lynch had recently been acquitted of defrauding billions of dollars from some wealthy and powerful people (3) his VP of Finance at Autonomy had died hours earlier after being hit with a car while running (4) they were just half a mile off the coast of Sicily – not the least likely place to hire an assassin – there really isn’t anything shady about these events.
